1ST-ORDER MELTING TRANSITION OF THE 2-DIMENSIONAL FLUX-LINE LATTICE

摘要
An extensive Monte Carlo simulation on the melting transition of the two-dimensional flux-line lattice is presented. It is found that the melting transition is of first order while the transition temperature is close to that estimated from elastic theory assuming the Kosterlitz-Thouless melting transition.
