The 50V(t, α) and 50Ti(d, t) reactions leading to 49Ti were studied at bombarding energies near 13 MeV with an over-all energy resolution of about 15 KeV FWHM, and the 49Ti(p, p′) process was investigated at 10 MeV incident energy with 5 keV resolution. A DW analysis of the (t, α) and (d, t) cross sections is presented, and the spectroscopic information is compared to recent model predictions. Several high-spin states of the 1f 7 2 shell configurations were identified. A consistent level scheme for 49Ti is proposed, and a sum-rule analysis of the lp = 3 (t, α) strengths for multipole orders λ = 1 and 2 is given. © 1969.
