摘要
The ESR spectrum at room temperature and the absorption spectrum at 77 degrees K of the pentschtorocyctopentadienyl radical C5Cl5 is reported. The isotropic g value g = 2.009 +/- 0.001 and the chlorine splittings alpha(Cl-35) = 2.35 +/- 0.05 gauss and a(Cl-37) = 1.93 +/- 0.05 gauss are consistent with a D-5h symmetry. The polarization parameters of the Karplus-Fraenkel formula have been determined by two-dimenslonal regression analysis to Q(CCl)(Cl) = - 5.0 +/- 0.8 gauss and Q(Cl)(Cl) = 54 +/- 4 gauss respectively.
