MONOMERIC TO POLYMERIC GOLD(I) COMPLEXES FROM BIFUNCTIONAL LIGANDS R2PCCH

摘要
Oligomeric and polymeric gold(I) complexes in which gold(I) complexes in which gold(I) centers are bridged by R2PC = C- ligands are reported. The new ligand (Pr2PC=CH)-Pr-i was prepared by reaction of (Pr2PCl)-Pr-i With HC=CMgBr. Displacement of SMe2 from [AuCl(SMe2)] by R2PC = CH gave [AuCl(R2PC=CH)], R = Ph or (i)Pr, which were characterized spectroscopically and, for R = (i)Pr, by single crystal X-ray diffraction analysis [triclinic, space group P1BAR, Z = 2, a = 9.229(2), b = 9.345(1), c = 7.654(1) angstrom, alpha = 112.79(1), beta = 105.49(1), gamma = 99.33(l)-degrees, V = 559.7(2) angstrom3]. Treatment of [AuCl(R2PCCH)] with NaOMe gave elimination of HCI with formation of [(Au(R2PC=C))x]. When R = Ph, the product is insoluble in all common organic solvents and is presumed to be polymeric but, when R = (i)Pr, the product is partially soluble in chlorinated organic solvents and is suggested to exist as a mixture of cyclic oligomers and linear polymer.
