The reabsorption probability for Σ- hyperons produced by K- meson interactions at rest in freon CF3Br has been found to be 0.50 ± 0.05, in agreement with previous results obtained in various light or heavy elements. The implications of this result on some aspects of the K- meson capture process are discussed. © 1969.
