摘要
Over the past decade, Raman spectroscopy has become a powerful probe of structures and reactions of molecules adsorbed on solid surfaces. Key developments in this field are reviewed; a discussion of outstanding issues, which include selection rules and intensities, is presented and prospects for future progress are outlined.
