摘要
The cells of strain A-1, a novel bacterium isolated from ditch as a potent producer of alginate lyase, showed flocculation during growth on alginate as the sole carbon source. In order to apply the flocculated bacterial cells to the construction of a non-support bioreactor system, the flocculated cells were packed in a column and used for the degradation of alginate. Activity of the column was maintained in a stable fashion when nutrient medium with alginate was supplied and the bioreactor system was found to be used for the continuous production of depolymerized alginate oligomers.
