摘要：

An apparatus has been constructed for the free suspension of charged particles and droplets in the range 5-200 μ and for their study with respect to charge and mass and their variations with time in various gaseous environments. The apparatus and its functioning are described and illustrated by various applications. It is thought to be a useful research tool in physics, physical chemistry, and other disciplines and also to be useful in laboratory courses on the graduate and undergraduate levels. © 1969, American Association of Physics Teachers.
