摘要
A study is reported here of the feasibility of using a mixed solution of dyes as a substitute for a solid selective surface. The criteria for the choice of compounds were fast photothermal conversion and stability. As a result of a preliminary assessment of the photoconversion capability of such a composite system, a collector was designed and tested at the Solar Energy Research Centre, in which the dye solution remained exposed to solar radiation; a copper tube submerged in the solution acted as heat exchanger. Water flowing from a storage tank through the exchanger acted as the heat transfer fluid. The system proved successful both energy and costwise.
