摘要
Ontario Hydro's experience with diagnostic partial discharge tests on hydraulic generators over a period of five years shows that a reliable prediction of stator insulation condition can be made prior to physical examination. “Action limit values” have been established to this end. This paper gives a brief historical review of problems encountered, and a description of repair procedures on windings with slot discharge/mechanical abrasion insulation damage. Recent advances in the diagnostic test equipment and technique for reducing test cost and increasing test credibility are briefly described.
