POLARON CHARACTER OF THE COLORATION CENTERS IN LINBO3 CRYSTALS

摘要：

The RT and low temperature colour centres which grow up in LiNbO3 crystals after X‐raying are described as bound polarons. It is shown that it is possible to describe a lot of centres in a generalized way. Following this model all coloration effects in LiNbO3 are understood with the help of polarons the absorption maxima and thermal stabilities of which vary according to the variation of the bond strength. The properties of these colour centres in LiNbO3 are analogous to those observed in YAG and PbMoO4. Copyright © 1979 WILEY‐VCH Verlag GmbH & Co. KGaA
