GENERATION NONUNIVERSALITY AND PRECISION ELECTROWEAK MEASUREMENTS

摘要
A gauge model of generation nonuniversality proposed 10 years ago predicted that the tau-lifetime should be longer than what it would be in the standard model. This has been confirmed by recent e+e-to Z data, although the statistical significance is only 2.3-sigma. We show that this model is also consistent with other precision electroweak measurements, and in particular it contributes negatively to the rho-parameter measured at the Z peak.
