摘要
Klebsiella-Aerobacter was isolated from a 3% hexachlorophene surgical soap. The effectiveness of two surgical scrub products: hexachlorophene (Dermasurgical and pHisoHex), and povidoneiodine (Betadine) was tested in a surgical scrub procedure and compared with an anticrosscontaminant foam (Intersept). Bacterial count reductions were as follows: Dermasurgical, 23.8% reduction; Batadine, 43.8% reduction; pHisoHex, 66.8% reduction; and Intersept, 94.8% reduction. Intersept applied following a surgical scrub procedure further reduced the bacterial counts approximately 100%. © 1969 Taylor & Francis Group, LLC.
