摘要
Using solutions of the mass transport problem of ions in a fixed site matrix under a voltage pulse step, given in Part I, the impedance function has been derived. An ideal glass membrane appears electrically as a parallel network of apparent d.c. (pseudo steady state) resistance, double-layer capacitance and infinite diffusive transmission line impedance. The decomposed surface films without high fixed site densities contribute a further finite transmission line impedance due to mass transport under diffusion-migration from the solution bulk to the fixed sites of the intact-glass. The theoretical behavior of both cases is illustrated in Z(real), Z(imaginary) vs. frequency plots and analogous Cole-Cole type plots. Diagnostic criteria are suggested for demonstrating agreement between experimental data and theory. © 1968.
