纳米TiO2合成、表面处理及其防团聚研究

纳米TiO2是一种新型无机功能材料,广泛应用于随角异色汽车面漆、防晒化妆品、染料敏化太阳能电池、光催化等领域。纳米TiO2的应用领域和使用效果与其微结构、表面性质和团聚状态有关。本文研究了不同物相、粒径和形貌的纳米TiO2合成方法和过程机理。对金红石相纳米TiO2进行了无机和有机表面处理以提高其光稳定性和分散性。并研究了湿法制备纳米TiO2的防团聚方法。主要研究内容和成果概括如下:
1 根据LTDRP原理,用改进胶溶法在较温和的条件合成了金红石相纳米TiO2,改变了必须经过高温煅烧锐钛矿才能制备金红石的传统工艺。利用过量TiCl4的水解来提供胶溶所需酸,省去了通常胶溶法中洗涤和加酸(盐酸或硝酸)工序,节约了成本。研究了中和方式、中和温度、晶化温度、晶化时间、升温速率、NaOH浓度、n(NaOH):n(TiCl4)和添加剂对纳米TiO2物相的影响,并讨论了纳米TiO2的形成机理。
2 水热法合成了不同物相、形貌和大小的纳米TiO2。结果表明,纳米TiO2的微结构不仅与水热条件有关,还与前驱体的生成条件有关。当前驱体为无定型结构时,pHinitial是决定TiO2物相、粒径和形貌的主要因素。当pHinitial=9.00~12.00时,200℃下水热反应24h,合成了纯板钛矿相TiO2。XRD和TEM结果表明,板钛矿相TiO2颗粒是由多个纳米微晶组成的聚集体。pHinitial的增大导致无定型TiO2转化成板钛矿相所需的水热温度升高,水热时间变长;同时,所形成的板钛矿相TiO2晶粒尺寸和颗粒粒径也较大。实验中首次发现乙二醇和丙三醇的存在会改变TiO2粉体的物相和形貌。当Vglycol:Vwater≤1:1或Vpropanetriol:Vwater≤1:3时,产物为板钛矿相;当Vglycol:Vwater≥2:1或Vpropanetriol:Vwater≥1:1时,TiO2粉体为锐钛矿相。随着丙三醇含量的增加,粒径逐渐变小。
3 首次在超声场中,通过硅酸钠水解生成的无定型氧化硅对金红石相纳米TiO2进行表面包覆。利用红外光谱、X射线光电子能谱、X射线衍射和透射电镜对所得样品进行了表征,并对纳米TiO2的光稳定性和分散性进行了评价。红外光谱和X射线光电子能谱表明,氧化硅以化学键合的方式沉积在纳米TiO2的表面,在包覆层和纳米TiO2颗粒之间的界面上形成了Ti-O-Si键。TEM照片、表面元素分析和光稳定性实验显示,超声场和适当的热处理有助于提高包覆层的均匀性和致密性。SiO2的表面包覆提高了纳米TiO2的紫外线屏蔽能力和可见光透明性。随着氧化硅含量的增加,纳米TiO2的光稳定性逐渐提高;当m(SiO2):m(TiO2)大于1:5时,纳米TiO2
