摘要
In a simple reaction sequence 2‐nitrobenzoyl chloride, methyl anthranilate, and 2,6‐bis‐(chloroformyl)pyridine are employed to give oligoanthranilamide 1. This compound has a helical structure in solution and in the solid state, and the pitch of the helix can be altered by synthesis of the corresponding pyridine N‐oxide derivative. These types of mimics of the peptide framework are of interest for the de novo design of proteins and drugs. (Figure Presented.) Copyright © 1994 by VCH Verlagsgesellschaft mbH, Germany
