Summary: A dimeric silver(I) complex, [Ag(CH2PPh2S)]2(1), was obtained by the reaction of Li(CH2PPh2S) with AgNO3 in THF solution at -78 °C. The X-ray crystal structure of 1 shows that the ylide ligand CH2PPh2S bridges two Ag1 atoms with a Ag’-Ag1 separation of 2.990 (2) A. 1 has a one-dimensional chain structure in the solid with an intermolecular Ag-Ag separation of 3.227 (2) Λ. © 1990, American Chemical Society.
