摘要
Impact-collision ion scattering spectroscopy using Ne+ and He+ ions is applied to the study of the Ag(110) surface. Experimental data are analyzed by classical model calculations (both two- and three-dimensional) describing the ion-surface-atom interaction by the Thomas-Fermi-Moliere-Firsov potential and taking into account surface thermal vibrations and ion neutralization effects. A contraction of the first-to-second (-(4 +/- 2)% with respect to bulk values) and first-to-third (-(1.5 +/- 1.5)%) layer distances has been obtained confirming the oscillatory relaxation of Ag(110).
