EXTRA-DRUDE ABSORPTION AND CRITICAL-TEMPERATURE IN SUPERCONDUCTING CUPRATES

摘要
The reflectance of superconducting Nd2-xCexCuO4-y single crystals, and of Bi2Sr2CaCu2O8, Bi1.8Pb0.2Sr2CaCu2O8 and Bi2Sr2Ca2Cu3O10 highly oriented films with critical temperatures T(c) ranging from 14 to 95 K, has been measured at 300 K between 0.05 and 3 eV. The extra-Drude contribution to the optical conductivity often indicated as ''mid-infrared band'' has been identified in all samples. Its peak energy is shown to depend on T(c), and to tend towards zero as T(c) approaches the maximum values presently obtained in cuprates.
