摘要：

The kinetic study of the methylthiirane polymerization in THF initiated by quaternary ammonium (di)thiobenzoate is reported. The effects of different factors have been studied: temperature, nucleophilicity and concentration of the initiator. The propagation and initiation steps have been characterized, and a kinetic study of the initiation step is also reported. We have postulated a two-steps initiation reaction, beginning with a regioselective SN2 reaction of the (di)thiobenzoate on the episulfure followed by the reaction of the thiolate on the (thio)carbonyl.
