摘要
Fast atom bombardment (FAB) mass spectra of a number of functionalized tetrapyrroles derived from chlorophylls a and b have been obtained and MS/MS studies used to investigate aspects of the fragmentation behavior of some of them. The application of this approach is demonstrated by the assignment of pheophytin b isolated from a lake sediment where the amount and purity were insufficient for nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopic studies. © 1990, American Chemical Society.
