摘要：

A nineteen year old male Negro with a ruptured, enlarged spleen is described. Histochemical studies demonstrated that the spleen was infiltrated by histiocytes laden with ceroid, an insoluble, acid-fast, sudanophilic, periodic acid-Schiff-positive, autofluorescent pigment. The prolonged ingestion of increased amounts of polyunsaturated fatty acids was considered to be etiologically significant. © 1969.
