摘要
The Hall effect has been determined at room temperature for five single crystal specimens of Cu - 15.5 at% Ge. This alloy is h.c.p., and the Hall coefficient has two independent components. The values of these are: R-|| = + (2.0 +/- 0.5) x 10(-11) m(3)/C, and R-perpendicular to = -(4.0 +/- 1.0) x 10(-11) m(3)/C. It is shown that these values are consistent with the generally accepted form of the Fermi surface, with considerable contact being made with the {10 (1) over bar0} Brillouin zone faces. The results suggest that any contact with the {0002} faces is probably relatively small.
