摘要
Investigated the hypothesis that personality characteristics have an interactive effect with conditions of the learning situation in computer-assisted instruction (CAI). Ss were 100 undergraduate males assigned randomly among 1 control and 2 experimental groups. 1 experimental group (N = 40) took a problem-solving course alone at the computer terminal. The 2nd group (N = 42) took the same course with a partner. Controls did not take the course. All Ss took pre- and postcourse measures to determine achievement and attitude change. The Ss high in sociability and low in test anxiety achieved better in pairs. The Ss low in sociability and high in test anxiety achieved better alone. Attitude was most favorable toward CAI in submissive Ss paired with dominants, and in dominants working alone.
