摘要
Under the influence of gamma radiation of a Co-60 source the hydroformylation of butene catalyzed by Co2(CO)8 or HRh(CO) (PPh3)3 is enhanced by a factor of ∼4 compared with thermal conditions. Activation energies, product distribution, and reaction order are the same for the thermal and radiation chemical reactions. Therefore it is concluded that both reactions proceed via the same catalytic cycle and that ionizing radiation only leads to a faster entry into this cycle. © 1979.
