ABSOLUTE FREQUENCY LOCKING OF DIODE-PUMPED ND-YAG LASER FOR APPLICATION IN FREE-SPACE OPTICAL COMMUNICATION

摘要
A simple method for the absolute frequency stabilisation of Nd : YAG lasers is presented. The laser frequency has been locked to a fixed point on the flank of a Doppler-broadened iodine absorption line. In this way an absolute and reproducible accuracy of the laser frequency approaching 10(-7) has been achieved.
