摘要
Electron emission from Gd metal excited both by monochromator and by quasi-white radiation reveals different 4d hole de-excitation patterns for Auger and direct recombination. The dominance of the 4f emission channel in resonance photoemission is reconciled with the relatively low intensity of N45N67N67 Auger emission by means of spin conservation considerations.
