14-MEV NEUTRON CROSS-SECTION MEASUREMENTS ON V, TI, SI AND F

摘要
Absolute neutron activation cross-sections were measured at 14·7 MeV for the (n,2n) reaction in 19F and 46Ti, the (n,p) reaction in 28Si, 48Ti, 51V, and the (n,α) reaction in 51V, using the associated particle method to determine the absolute neutron flux. The following results were obtained: 55 ± 2·5 mb for 19F (n,2n) 18F, 39·2 ± 1·8 mb for 46Ti (n,2n) 45Ti, 297 ± 14 mb for 28Si (n,p) 28Al, 80 ± 4 mb for 48Ti (n,p) 48Sc, 35·2 ± 1·6 for 51Ti, and 21 ± 1·0 mb for 51V (n,α) 48Sc. The results are compared to those obtained by other authors in the 14 MeV region. © 1969.
