摘要
ππ scattering lengths are calculated by using current algebra and the dispersion theory of low-energy limits. The corrections to the simplest use of the PCAC assumption are evaluated supposing a sizeable s-wave ππ interaction schematized by the σ-particle. By using a further sum rule of superconvergence type to calculate the off-mass-shell form factor of σππ coupling, we obtain values for a 0, as a function of the σ mass only, which are not in disagreement with the other theoretical predictions. © 1968 Società Italiana di Fisica.
