摘要
Films of polypyridinyl complexes of ruthenium having one, two or three dicarboxy ester-2,2'-bipyridine ligands can be deposited on an electrode surface by electropolymerization of their corresponding monomers containing pyrrole groups. Careful control of the electropolymerization potential permits the formation of films exhibiting the regular electroactivity of the polypyrrole skeleton. Conditions under which the polypyrrole conductivity is destroyed in an electrochemical way have been investigated. Comparison of the cyclic voltammograms of modified electrodes with and without the polypyrrole feature allows us to explain the prepeak phenomena. Reinvestigation of the behaviour of polypyrrole films of polypyridinyl complexes of ruthenium(II) free of ester ligands demonstrates that the observation of a polypyrrole electrochemical response is a general event. © 1990.
