TRANSFORMATION OF DIETHYL-ETHER OVER HZSM-5 TYPE ZEOLITE AND MOLYBDOPHOSPHATES

摘要
Transformation of diethyl ether into hydrocarbons was carried out at 325-degrees-C over HZSM-5 and molybdophosphates in a continuous flow reactor. The reaction mixture was analyzed chromatographically. The acidity and structure of the catalysts used were examined using m-xylene isomerisation (350-degrees-C), hydrolysis of ester (60-degrees-C), IR and X-ray diffraction analysis. Effect of space time. reaction temperature and reaction time were carried out to show the catalytic property of the catalysts. The study revealed that HZSM-5 is highly active and more stable than molybdophosphates for ether transformation. Ethylene and ethanol have higher selectivities over most of the used samples.
