摘要:
Microstructure transformation induced in armour steel by a catastrophic deformation process such as adiabatic shearing is spread over a distance of several times the width of an adiabatic shear band (A. S. B. ). Outside the A. S. B. these changes are similar to those produced by annealing (polygonization, precipitation, coalescence. . ). The microstructure observed in the center of an A. S. B. is characterized by a fine-grain equiaxed structure of delta ferrite containing narrow laths of martensite.
