摘要
Mathematical techniques have been used in analysis of rheological behavior of polymer melts in spinning of synthetic fibers. The starting point of the analysis is given by a set of three nonlinear conservation equations. These are based on a model, one dimensional as far as space variations are concerned, that is asymptotically valid in the case of infinitely thin fibers. The following topics are discussed--steady state equations; perturbation equations; boundary and initial conditions; and solution of steady state and perturbation equations.
