摘要
The tailing suppressors, triethylamine, N, N-dimethyloctylamine (DMOA), and cyclam, are compared regarding their ability to reduce or eliminate tailing peaks for ß-adrenergic blocking drugs. The use of these additives in the mobile phase results in a general decrease in retention and improvements in peak shape for these basic solutes. The most effective tailing suppressor is found to be DMOA. To investigate the feasibility of transferring retention data from one condition to the other, retention data in the presence and absence of DMOA are collected experimentally on a Nova-Pak C18 stationary phase with a mobile phase of methanol–phosphate buffer in various proportions. © 1994, Oxford University Press.
