摘要
Human serum albumin variants from 35 unrelated families have been compared in four electrophorctic systems: a total of eight different classes of variant albumins were identified. The value of using multiple electrophoretic systems to distinguish variants is indicated by the fact that the relative orders of the mobilities of the variants differed among systems and that it was not possible to recognize in any single system more than seven of the eiglit types of variants. In most instances the variants within a class have been found in individuals with an ethnically similar origin. However, the variants from one British family, one Greek family, and a family of New Guinea indigenes were found to be indistinguishable in each of the four electrophoretic systems. © 1969 S.
