BSCCO SUPERCONDUCTOR COATING BY THE ELECTROPHORETIC DEPOSITION METHOD

BSCCO superconductor coating by the electrophoretic deposition method has been investigated. A toluene bath was used, because it was found that toluene is insert to BSCCO. The pre-heating treatment in vacuo was effective in removing the residual toluene in the porc of the BSCCO coating. Moreover, the codeposition of the PbO particles with BSCCO from the PbO-added toluene bath was attempted in order to improve the superconductivity of the BSCCO coating. A single, high T(c) phase coating was obtained and the T(c,zero) was 103 K.
