摘要
The 48Ca(α, d)50Sc reaction has been studied using 31 MeV α-particles with 125 keV resolution. The states below 2.5 MeV were compared to DWBA predictions of the two-nucleon transfer reaction employing the shell-model description of Kuo and Brown for 50Sc. This calculation, which describes 50Sc as two particles outside a 48Ca core and which uses matrix elements derived from a realistic two-nucleon interaction, is also in agreement with two (3He, p) experiments. The description of 50Sc for levels below 2.5 MeV is good for the energies, spins and parities and two-nucleon transfer-reaction predictions. This is reasonable because the three-particle-one-hole positive-parity configurations do not play an important role until approximately 4 MeV excitation. © 1969.
