摘要
A method of X-ray energy-dispersive diffractometry was applied to the determination of X-ray Debye temperature varThetaM. Continuous X-rays generated by an ordinary X-ray tube with Co target operated at 25 kV and 15 mA were diffracted by a smoke sample of silver particles of mean size about 1000 A, produced by the gas evaporation technique. In this application, the absolute intensity measurement of the spectral peaks is not required. The temperature dependence of the integrated intensities of the spectral peaks corresponding to 111, 200, 220, and 311 reflections, was measured by a solid-state detector fixed at a scattering angle 2॒=25Ŷ, within the temperature range 100 K - 300 K. The value varThetaM=199¼4 K obtained in this work agreed well with those so far obtained by the ordinary X-ray powder diffraction method. © 1979 The Japan Society of Applied Physics.
