摘要
The melting process of seventeen semisynthetic suppository bases has been evaluated by using a classical open capillary method together with differential scanning calorimetry and rheological analysis, in order to establish a physical mechanism for their premature softening. The presence in these materials of a mixture of different fat components with divergent melting points, as detected by the presented methods, satisfactorily explains this phenomenon.
