摘要
Based on a previous work by the authors an equation was developed for the settling velocity of a suspension of spheres. Asymptotic expressions of the equation, for high and low Reynolds Numbers, were fitted with different empirical functions of the solid volume fraction. The final equation was tested against experimental results of numerous investigators giving a mean square deviation of 0.0010 for the whole range of Reynolds Numbers. © 1979.
