Multicomponent glass capacitance sensors have been found to be useful as secondary thermometers at low temperatures in magnetic fields. The sol-gel derived thick-film sensors are characterized by a broad operating temperature range from 1 mK to 300 K, high relative sensitivity (5x10(-2) K-1 at 20 mK), sufficient stability and reproducibility (Delta T/T < 2x10(-2) at 20 mK), insensitivity to magnetic fields up to 8 T and fast response time.
