CAPILLARY ELECTROPHORESIS WITH ELECTROCHEMICAL DETECTION

摘要
Highly sensitive electrochemical detection (ED) schemes for capillary electrophoresis (CE) have been developed, mainly as a result of improvements in methodologies to minimize the effects caused by the high electric field present in the separation capillary. Techniques which exploit the universal capability of potentiometric and conductometric methods are described and various designs and applications of amperometric detectors for high sensitivity detection are presented. The use of indirect electrochemical detection to permit detection of non-electroactive species by amperometric measurements is also described. Such advances provide a wide scope for further developments in CE with ED.
