摘要
Trained 364 female albino CF1 mice in a step-through passive-avoidance apparatus and tested them for retention 24 hr. later. Acute bilateral brain puncture limited to the cerebral cortex impaired retention when administered immediately after learning, but not when administered 1 or 6 hr. later. Puncture in different areas of the cortex produced similar impairment of retention, whereas cerebellar puncture had no effect. Puncture involving both cortex and hippocampus impaired retention when administered as long as 1 hr. after training.
