摘要
This review elaborates on the recent development of microbial sterol biotransformation systems. Particular emphasis is laid on the new enzymatic approach investigating the cleavage of sterol side chain. New developments in the area of immobilized cell system and use of organic media alongwith recent reviews on side chain cleavage are discussed.
