2-DIMENSIONAL X-RAY-DETECTOR BASED ON MICROSTRIP AND MULTIWIRE DESIGN

摘要
In order to produce detectors providing good spatial resolution and high counting rates for synchrotron radiation scattering applications, the Possibilities of gas-filled detectors with microstrip electrodes have been investigated. Three X-ray detectors have been built and tested. A two-dimensional detector combining features of microstrip technology and multiwire proportional counters (MWPC) is presented. The data acquisition system is based on the delay-line readout principle.
