LUMINESCENCE OF EU(III) IN (NH4)3YCL6 - NONRADIATIVE-TRANSITIONS INDUCED BY THE 2ND COORDINATION SPHERE

摘要
The quantum efficiency of the luminescence of Eu(III) in (NH4)3YCl6 is considerably suppressed due to the presence of high-frequency oscillators (NH+4) in the second coordination sphere of the europium ion. Additional evidence for this effect is found in the vibronic emission lines of Gd(III) in (NH4)2GdCl5. © 1992 Academic Press, Inc.
