摘要
The adsorptive decomposition of nitrous oxide on supported copper catalysts has been studied by combining gravimetric and calorimetric measurements. It is shown that the rate of surface oxidation is independent of the metallic dispersion for silica supported catalysts prepared by homogeneous deposition precipitation and impregnation. Cu-on-gamma alumina catalysts are very sensitive to subsurface oxidation. The total heat of adsorption increases with metallic dispersion, if dispersion is varied from 0.13 to 8.52 %.
