We calculate two-loop corrections to the coefficient functions of the dim ≤ 4 contributions to the vacuum correlator of two flavour-diagonal vector, scalar, and pseudoscalar currents. We formulate the renormalization-group invariant criteria for the convergence of the perturbation theory series for the coefficient functions. We also study effects of the calculated corrections on the sum rules for the ρ{variant}, φ{symbol}, δ(980) and ε(1300) mesons. © 1990.
