摘要
Thermoelectric power (TEP) and Montgomery conductivity are measured for the various concentrations of the MoCl5 doped stretch-oriented polyacetylene film synthesized using the heat treated catalysts. The obtained maximum conductivity is sigma-parellel-to (RT) = 6400 S/cm along the oriented direction. Its anisotropy is sigma-parallel-to / sigma-perpendicular-to = 25 and temperature independent. Temperature dependence of TEP is quasi-linear in the heavily doped regime. However, the extrapolated T = O intercept value of TEP changes from positive to negative as the doping concentration increases. Similar cross over behavior was also observed in NbCl5 doped polyacetylene but not in FeCl3 and ZrCl4 doped ones. The electron-phonon interaction and the Kondo effect like coupling mechanism are discussed to compare with the observed results.
