摘要
UDP-glucose glycogen glucosyltransferase is present in the human myometrium in small amounts. The amount of glycogen found in the myometrium is less than that in striated muscle and equal to that in myocardium. Fast degradation of the polysaccharide after synthesis is unlikely because the glycogen phosphorylase activity is low. As in other tissues, the UDP-glucose glycogen glucosyltransferase of myometrium is activated by glucose-6-phosphate and adenosine-3,5-cyclic phosphate.
